In Xel-ha, there are very special places that despite not being the most known spots, have a very special charm. Visiting these sites, characteristic for their discrete location, is an opportunity to better understand the magic of nature.

Bay of Caprices

The "Bay of Caprices" is a fantastic place, but to get there, it is necessary to ignore the temptation of leaving behind the always seductive main restaurants and bars area, then, cross the "Floating Bridge", follow the "Path of Consciousness", and right after a short lane, turn right. There, a quite hidden path by the inlet, will take you to this remarkable spot.

The "Bay of Caprices" is a cute little shelter for those who enjoy resting comfortably while staring at a wonderful view of the inlet, or swimming amongst curious nooks and crannies shaped by the rocky formations, where colorful fish amuse themselves.

This is an ideal point for couples that by sharing an incomparable niche of nature, find a renewed and deeper knowledge of each other, or for small families that enjoy sunbathing, water, and vegetation in a more intimate way.

Path of Consciousness

The "Path of consciousness" is located within Xel-Ha's roads, and spurted up from the desire of transmitting to all visitors a collection of thoughts and reflections by different authors, inspired in Nature's  beauty and frailty.

The organic aesthetic of the sculptures by Martha and David Gerstein was conceived with full respect of textures, shapes and colors already present in Xel-Ha's landscape. The inscriptions on each rock are numbered in the mayan system, and written in Spanish.

The purpose of this path is that by traveling it and reading the messages engraved along it, visitors take with them a reborn respect for nature, and consciousness for its conservation.

Air Path

A particularly special place that allows the visitor to gaze at the vegetation from a different perspective: the one belonging to those birds that spend most of their days on treetops. From four meters high the true dimension of the vegetation populating Xel-Ha's jungle, can be noticed way better, and it is possible to appreciate, different life forms inhabiting the area.

Access to this place is available from the mangrove zone, where the underground rivers system emerges to the surface, or through the "path of Consciousness" at its last part.

Los Sitios Asombrosos de Xel-Ha

En Xel-Há existen lugares muy especiales que no por ser poco conocidos dejan de tener un encanto especial. Por el contrario, visitar estos sitios que se caracterizan por su ubicación discreta, es una oportunidad para entender mejor la magia de la naturaleza.

Bahía de los Caprichos

La "Bahía de los Caprichos" es un lugar fantástico, pero para llegar ahí hay que sortear primero la tentación de dejar atrás la zona de restaurantes y bebidas, siempre seductora por los deliciosos platillos y cocteles que allí se preparan; cruzar el puente flotante; entrar al "Sendero de la Conciencia" y, después de un pequeño tramo, tomar hacia la derecha. Allí, una senda medio escondida al margen de la caleta nos lleva a este singular espacio.

La "Bahía de los Caprichos" es un pequeño refugio para quienes disfrutan al descansar frente a una vista maravillosa de la caleta, o nadar en los recovecos  que ofrecen las formaciones rocosas, donde peces de colores tienen apacibles zonas de distracción.

Este sitio es ideal para parejas que, al compartir un incomparable espacio de la naturaleza, se adentran en una mayor identificación de sí mismas, o para familias poco numerosas que desean disfrutar el sol, el agua y la vegetación, de una manera más íntima.

Sendero de la Conciencia

El "Sendero de la Conciencia" reside en los caminos de Xel-Há y surgió del deseo de transmitir a sus visitantes una selección de pensamientos y reflexiones de diversos autores inspirados en la belleza y fragilidad de la naturaleza".

La labor escultórica de Martha y David Gerstein se concibió respetando texturas, formas y colores presentes en la Maravilla Natural. Las inscripciones en cada pieza están numeradas en el sistema maya y escritas en español.

La intención de este espacio es que, al recorrer los caminos y leer los mensajes, los visitantes se lleven consigo una nueva conciencia de respeto y conservación por la naturaleza, a favor del planeta tierra y sus habitantes.

Senda del Aire

Es un lugar muy especial que permite al visitante observar la vegetación desde una perspectiva diferente: la de las aves y mamíferos que desarrollan buena parte de su día a día en las copas de los árboles. A cuatro metros de altura se advierte mucho mejor la dimensión de los diferentes tipos de vegetación que pueblan la selva quintanarroense y es posible apreciar, dependiendo de la hora de la visita, las diferentes formas de vida que allí se manifiestan.

Se puede acceder a este lugar desde la zona de manglares donde el sistema de ríos subterráneos emerge a la superficie o por el "Sendero de la Conciencia" en su parte final.
