Fun shopping at Market 28
Market 28 (Mercado 28) is an incredible shopping experience. It is a huge place filled with traditional handicrafts, souvenirs, goods and more. Most people from Cancun go there to buy their daily groceries and articles. This place is not exclusively for tourists and is a good spot to discover a typical Mexican market.
If you are looking for great gifts or souvenirs for friends and relatives, don't hesitate. Market 28 is the place to visit. Besides the countless handicrafts stores you'll find typical Mexican food (from delicious and fresh seafood to traditional tacos), jewelries, clothing stores, supermarket, Internet cafe, postal office, and so many sorts of businesses that it would be too long to list them here. It is also interesting to discover the real life of Cancun inhabitants on your way to the market.
At Mercado 28 you will find many ATM´s and banks. Most of the shops will take US Dollars, but very few will take credit cards. If you can't find something just ask, the market has more than 100 stores and shops. The market is located downtown Cancun, you can either take a taxi or take an R-2 or R-15 bus, which will drop you off one block away.

El Mercado 28 es una experiencia de compras increíble. Se trata de un lugar enorme lleno de artesanía tradicional, souvenirs, y muchos otros diversos artículos. Este lugar no es exclusivo para turístas, por lo que también ofrece un pintoresco ejemplo de un mercado tradicional mexicano.
Si estás en busca de regalos o recuerdos para amigos o familia, no la pienses, el Mercado 28 es el lugar a visitar. Además de las incontables tiendas de artesanías, encontraras comida típica (de mariscos a los infaltables tacos), joyería, tiendas de ropa, un supermercado, cibercafés, correos y muchos otros giros como para poder listarse. También es interesante conocer un poco la ciudad de Cancún rumbo al mercado.
En el Mercado 28 encontrarás muchos cajeros automáticos y bancos. La mayoría de las tiendas aceptarán dólares, pero muy pocos tomarán tarjetas de crédito. Este mercado se encuentra en el centro de Cancún, para llegar puedes tomar un taxi o un autobús R-2 o R-15, que te dejará a una cuadra de distancia.
